1.What belongs in the store

Linkstore is for web apps and websites people can use right now in a browser: tools, games, AI apps, utilities, communities, references and experiments.

  • It runs in a browser. No download needed to try it.
  • It works today, not a waitlist or a page for something unbuilt.
  • You made it, or you help run it.

2.What doesn't fit

  • UI kits, component libraries, templates and themes;
  • apps that only exist as a download or in a phone app store;
  • landing pages, waitlists and coming-soon pages;
  • link shorteners, affiliate pages and thin wrappers around other sites;
  • anything deceptive, harmful, illegal or made to collect data you didn't ask for.

3.Writing the listing

Say what the app does in plain words. The short description should make sense to someone who has never heard of it.

  • Use your app's real name, without taglines or emoji in it.
  • Pick the price that applies when someone signs up today.
  • Screenshots should show the app itself, not ads or stock images.
  • No claims you can't back up, like "#1" or "the best".

4.How review works

A person opens every app before it goes live and checks it against these guidelines. It usually takes a couple of days. If something needs fixing you'll get a note in your dashboard, and you can send it back once it's changed.

Edits to a live listing are reviewed the same way. Your current listing stays up while they wait.

5.Releases and ranking

Approved apps appear at the top of Releases that day, ordered by approval time. Top rated uses ratings, weighted by how many people rated. Popular uses saves and opens from the last week. None of these can be bought or traded.

6.The Verified badge

Verified means the maker proved they run the site by adding a meta tag or a DNS record we give them. Apps our editors listed can be claimed the same way from their page. It's free, it's never sold, and it says nothing about quality. That's what ratings are for.

7.Rules for ratings

  • Rate apps you've used. One review per person per app.
  • Makers and their teams don't rate their own apps.
  • Never offer or accept rewards for ratings, and don't ask friends to pile on.
  • Keep it about the app: no personal attacks, spam or private details.

8.When something breaks the rules

We may remove reviews, take listings down for now or for good, or close accounts that break these guidelines or the terms. For anything short of clear abuse, we explain what happened and how to fix it.

Paid apps follow the same rules. Pro, boosts and sponsor spots never skip review, and an app that breaks the rules loses them too.

9.Reporting a problem

Found an app that's broken, misleading or unsafe, or a review that breaks these rules? Press Report on its page and a person will look at it. For copyright or trademark notices, see copyright and takedowns, or email hi@linkstore.io.
