What's shipping

We're building a lasting directory of apps that run in the browser: a shelf makers stay on, and a place people and AI assistants can trust to find tools, alternatives, and competitors.

Shipped

  • 649 curated listings

with honest editorial pages, alternatives URLs and ratings from real signed-in users.

  • Free Standard submit

human review; listing stays free forever once approved.

  • Linkstore Pro

weekly Boosted row, custom slug, maker FAQ, search snippet, extra screenshots. Live on Pricing and Promote; refunds if we reject the app.

  • Claim flow

makers claim a discovered listing at /apps/[slug]/claim and edit after meta-tag or DNS verification.

  • AI-readable surface

sitemap, IndexNow, llms.txt and a markdown twin at /apps/[slug]/md so assistants can read listings.

  • Clearer claim path

Claim this app on listing pages for unclaimed apps; verified badge once proof is in place.

  • Alternatives pages

each app has /apps/[slug]/alternatives in the sitemap, with FAQ schema and links from the listing.

  • Ratings, reviews and opens

signed-in ratings and written reviews on listings; makers see opens, saves and averages in the dashboard.

  • Listed on Linkstore badge

/badge SVG embeds with optional rating; we check for a followed link back from the maker's site.

  • Sponsor spots

labelled homepage, sidebar, category and newsletter placements, booked by the week on Pricing.

  • Collections and maker pages

curated /collections/[slug] shelves and public /makers/[username] profiles in the catalogue.

In progress

  • Stay findable after day one

stronger category and explore browsing, more internal links between listings, collections and makers.

  • Listing SEO depth

tighter per-app metadata, FAQ and rating structured data, Pro snippets; keep every listing page unique and fast.

  • Backlinks and DR

directory submissions (see docs/backlinks), www canonical hygiene, and nudging makers to embed the badge.

  • Maker funnel measurement

DataFast is on checkout; wire submit, pay and claim events so we know which step leaks.

Next

  • Automated Friday newsletter

signup and sponsor inventory exist today; next is a reliable weekly send (new Releases, picks, labelled sponsor block) without hand-building each issue.

  • Sponsored editorial

optional paid deep dives on top of the free listing. Always labelled; never buys approval or Top rated order.

  • Compare pages

side-by-side "App A vs App B" views; alternatives lists already ship per app.

  • Editorial guides

longer best-for and roundup pages beyond collections, aimed at searches people actually type.

  • Review prompts and richer stats

nudge happy users to rate after they open an app; more breakdowns for makers than opens and saves alone.

  • Share cards and embeds

launch-ready OG images and one-click copy for social posts; badge already covers the footer link.

  • Agent-readable catalog

ai.txt, .md twins for categories and collections, read-only MCP search. One app markdown route exists; the rest is on the list in docs/GROWTH.md.

  • Smarter discovery UX

Explore already has search, category, tag and free filters; add install/offline and pricing facets, plus homepage surfaces that highlight freshness without rank games.

  • PWA and capability badges

structured fields for installable and offline, shown on listings once editors verify them (today they live only in copy and maker FAQ).

Honest note on pricing

Paying never buys approval. Featured and Sponsored spots are always labelled. Once your app is in the directory, the listing stays. Updates stay free.
